A Kerman in wool with an airy, muted presence: a soft beige field patterned with faint floral sprays and a scrolling brown arabesque border, enlivened by discreet turquoise highlights. High wear and pronounced abrash have softened pattern edges and created a patinated surface that reads as accumulated light and use. This antique rug, sized 366 x 483 cm, has a gentle, tactile nap and a palimpsest of tone across its field; the ornament feels like a memory rather than a sharp diagram. Circa 1885 - 1905. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
