This Kerman carries a quietly luminous field of intricate palmettes and scrolling arabesques in cream, soft teal and dusty rose. The wool fibre, worn to a low, tactile pile, displays even abrash and a medium degree of distress that feels characteristic of an antique rug. A faint central medallion sits within an all-over floral network while a broad paisley-like border traces the perimeter in pale, time-softened colour. Circa 1910 - 1930. Measuring 328 x 521 cm, the work reads as a considered study in faded colour, refined pattern and the material presence of age.
