This Khotan is a wool piece defined by a muted, neutral colourway and a composed, geometric grammar. Repeating square cartouches and small rosette roundels inhabit a pale cream ground, arrested by a rectangular centre reserve and a Greek-key border. The surface shows medium wear and even fading, a soft abrash lending an aged, tactile depth to the pile. The overall effect is calm and architectural, an antique rug with a well-worn hand and quiet presence. Circa 1900 - 1920. Measurements: 132 x 231 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
