An ivory field framed by coral-red spandrels and a navy floral border defines this Farahan Sarouk. A dense central medallion and delicate vine-and-palmette filling produce a fine, measured composition. The wool pile shows low, even wear and subtle abrash that soften the colour without obscuring detail. Exact size 264 x 358 cm. The result is an antique rug of quiet presence, an object where pattern, hand and time are equally legible. Circa 1885 - 1900. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
