This Farahan Sarouk presents a saturated red ground, navy centre medallion and ivory core motif, a classical composition expressed with refined restraint. The flowering vine field moves around a boldly modelled medallion while a rich floral border completes the frame. Wool surface remains dense with low distress and gentle abrash that accentuates tonal variation across the ground. The measurements are 254 x 376 cm, and the tactile surface retains a near-even pile and clean edges. Circa 1900 - 1915. The rug reads as a considered antique rug, where craft, colour and time converge in an assured, material presence.
