This Khotan rug shows a deep brown field scored with gold and neutral roundels and stylised tree forms, woven in wool with low visible distress and a supple, tactile pile. The repetitive roundel register and vertical arrangement create a composed rhythm, while the multiple guard borders carry a geometric sequence and gentle colour abrash. The surface keeps a tempered patina and modest pile variation so motifs remain defined across the length.
