An elegantly faded Khotan with a warm coral-red ground softened to rose and cream, its palette reading as red, pink and neutral. The all-over layout pairs round medallions and stylised botanical motifs within multiple narrow guard borders, the composition calm and rhythmic despite medium surface wear. Woollen pile is low and tactile, punctuated by gentle abrash that reveals pale beige highlights and a soft, timeworn sheen. An antique rug with evident patina, it carries measured age and craft across its breadth. Circa 1900 - 1920. Size: 267 x 526 cm.
