An elegantly worn Kerman wool runner with a cream ground and pale blue, beige and soft brown accents. The composition pairs an elongated palmette axis with scattered floral sprays and a scrolling foliate border, the motifs softened by medium wear that yields a tactile, patinated surface. The muted palette and restrained ornamentation read as an antique rug with an intimate runner proportion of 76 x 366 cm. Circa 1900 - 1915. Time and wool fibre have warmed the colours and mellowed the pattern into a refined, serene presence. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
