A refined Farahan Sarouk in wool, held in-house and measured 254 x 356 cm. The red ground carries an allover of palmettes, small boteh-like forms and floral sprays organised along a central axis, framed by a sage-green scrolling vine border. Cream and navy accents punctuate the surface while gentle abrash and modest pile loss create a soft, tactile surface; overall distress is low. The composition balances disciplined patterning with a worn hand, the colour harmonies feeling quietly aged and considered. This antique rug retains presence and tactility without heavy restoration.
