A small Farahan Sarouk woven in wool, the hand evident in its dense medallion and floral field. A warm brown ground frames a neutral cream centre with gold and rust highlights, the colours settling into a refined, low-wear surface. Fringes and borders remain neatly held; abrash is subtle and sympathetic to the design. This antique rug reads as an intimate study in scale, texture and colour. Circa 1900 - 1915. 56 x 79 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
