A Khotan antique rug in a deep red ground punctuated by three central round medallions in cream and neutral grey. Geometric corner brackets and repeated rosette medallions articulate the field, framed by a stepped inner band and a multi-stripe outer border where the colour shows gentle abrash. Wool pile remains soft to the touch with low, consistent wear that preserves the motifs and the rug’s tactile presence. Circa 1900 - 1920. Measurements: 170 x 358 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
