This Khotan runner displays paired circular medallions set into a warm rust ground, enlivened by brown and neutral accents. In wool fibre, the surface retains low distress with a tactile, even pile and subtle abrash that speaks to gentle age. Angular corner motifs and concentric floral medallions are contained by a deep brown multi-band border that defines the centre composition. The colourway , rust red, deep brown and soft neutrals , reads as quietly matured and textural. An antique rug with clear craft presence, it measures 132 x 244 cm. Circa 1900 - 1915
