This Khotan antique rug presents a warm red field punctuated by three pale roundels and small floral medallions, rendered in wool with restrained wear. Cream and white guard borders carry geometric meanders and small rosette motifs, lending architectural rhythm to the long format. The piece retains a soft, even pile and a low level of distress, with gentle abrash that enhances the surface texture and colour depth. The overall effect is heritage-aware and tactile, an example of traditional Khotan vocabulary rendered in a luminous palette. Circa 1905 - 1925. Measurements: 198 x 384 cm.
