This Chinese Peking displays a warm cream ground with a single floral medallion and softened corner spandrels, framed by a rich blue border and narrow guards. The wool fibre holds a discreet lustre across the neutral field; medium wear and visible abrash give the surface a softly aged character. Colours read as deep navy, pale blue, cream and white, balanced and considered. As an antique rug its tactile surface and measured restraint reveal a quiet heritage; size 145 x 229 cm. The piece feels refined by time yet materially present. Circa 1900 - 1915
