An understated Khotan woven in wool, the palette pairing red and soft neutral tones with touches of coral-pink. The field is a repeating register of floral tree palmettes set on a mellow grey-beige ground, framed by a narrow Greek-key border and a broader undulating hooked-wave border. Low distress and gentle abrash give the piece a lived-in calm; a faint central wear line is visible but the overall surface remains coherent and pleasing to the touch. This antique rug measures 198 x 396 cm and carries a measured, heritage quality. Circa 1885 - 1900
