This Sivas shows an allover scrolling floral vine worked in measured neutral and brown tones, an antique rug of calm, tactile presence. Palmettes and sinuous stems populate the field, contained by a single floral meander border that provides restraint and balance. The wool pile remains soft with low visible wear and a mellow surface patina that highlights the weave’s age. Proportions are compact at 114 x 178 cm, lending an approachable scale. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
