A Khotan in wool, its field composed of a repeating grid of pale roundels on a muted brown ground. The roundel repeat and diagonal hooked motifs resolve into a quiet geometric language, softened by surface wear. Multiple guard borders with interlocking motifs frame the centre, their cream and white notes balancing the neutral field. Abrash and even fading reveal the rug's hand and age; edges show moderate wear and shortened fringe. This antique rug measures 178 x 264 cm and retains a tactile, heritage-worn presence that reads as both pattern and patina. Circa 1900 - 1915.
