A quietly refined Khotan on a pale neutral ground, articulated in cream and brown tones. A central round medallion and geometric corner lozenges punctuate a field of scattered floral and hooked motifs, while a narrow palmette border contains the design with subtle formality. The wool shows low wear and a soft surface patina, evidence of long, careful use rather than heavy restoration. As an antique rug it retains a tactile serenity and considered composition, colour mellowed with time. Circa 1900 - 1920. Measurements: 185 x 353 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
