A Sivas in wool, characterised by an expansive floral field centred on a round medallion, rendered in muted greens, cream and neutral tones. The 401 x 599 cm scale allows the dense vine work, palmettes and small vases to form a calm, textile tapestry; the borders present repeating floral medallions and fine guard stripes. Low distress and even fading produce a soft, tactile patina that emphasises subtle abrash and handworked detail. Read as a preserved antique rug with considered wear, this example is visually dated Circa 1885 - 1910. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
