This Aubusson is crafted in wool fibre with a central floral medallion framed by scrolled cartouches and corner bouquet groups. The neutral and cream colourway feels restrained and painterly; layered tonal modelling remains in the border while moderate wear has produced a soft, aged patina. Edges show sympathetic abrash and handling consistent with medium distress, lending the piece a refined, tactile surface. Circa 1895 - 1915. Measures 381 x 488 cm.
