A Sivas in wool with a muted palette of red, cream and neutral washes, this antique rug centres on a circular medallion above a figural garden panel. Stylised animal figures, scrolling floral vines and layered palmette borders form a compartmentalised composition. The wool pile shows medium wear with soft abrash and selective loss that reveals a pale ground and enhances a lived patina. Edges are softened yet the decorative programme remains legible, offering a tactile sense of age and craft. The piece measures 130 x 201 cm. Circa 1885 - 1900.
