This Farahan Sarouk is an antique rug defined by a warm red field centred by a deep navy medallion and paired sage green cartouches. Floral chains and serrated field motifs lead to layered guard borders in navy, ivory and muted blue, each showing refined patterning and calm rhythm. The wool shows low wear and a gentle abrash that creates soft tonal shifts across the surface, lending a quiet lived-in character without loss of definition. The overall effect is tactile and craft-forward, a considered study in colour and composition. Circa 1900 - 1915. Size: 315 x 432 cm.
