At 351 x 747 cm the composition shows an allover floral vine field with a faint central medallion and a scalloped cartouche border. Surface wear and abrash have mellowed the palette, softening the motifs into a gentle, tactile patina that highlights the rug’s drawn ornament. The wool pile sits low and supple, reading as archival and lived-in while retaining its formal design language. This piece reads naturally as an antique rug. Circa 1895 - 1910. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
