This Farahan Sarouk carries a bold central medallion set within stepped spandrels and an all-over flowering vine field. Woven in wool, the ground shows warm red, deep navy registers and cream accents, with low, even wear and a soft, tactile pile. Fine border ornament and restrained abrash give the surface a considered, aged character while pattern remains clear. Circa 1900 - 1930. Size: 274 x 351 cm. The antique rug reads as a quietly crafted example of Persian design, revealing subtle colour shifts and a measured sense of proportion.
