Farahan Sarouk, an antique rug composed around a formal central medallion and a dense, disciplined floral allover. The wool pile has softened with age to a tactile, low-distress surface; cream and white highlights and restrained green details articulate the pattern against a muted ground. The wide, multi-band border repeats palmettes and stylised motifs in a structured cadence. Circa 1905 - 1920. Measurements: 328 x 401 cm. The rug reads as a studied example of early 20th century design language, its refined abrash and patina emphasising craft and time-worn texture. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
