A generous Bakhshaish worked in mellow red and rose shades, the wool pile worn to a supple, tactile surface. An allover floral lattice and repeated palmette motifs settle into a calm, rhythmic composition; the guard borders show a refined rosette chain. Low distress and even fading lend quiet depth and a lived-in patina to the piece. This antique rug measures 389 x 396 cm and retains a strong sense of hand and materiality, its palette softened with age.
