A measured Farahan Sarouk in wool, the navy ground filled with repeating palmettes, floral vine work and restrained medallions. Cream and white accents lift the pattern while a foliate rust border provides considered contrast; the overall effect is tactile and quietly ordered. The rug shows low wear and gentle abrash that deepen the colour harmony. This antique rug measures 277 x 353 cm and retains crisp pattern definition with minimal loss to the pile. Circa 1885 - 1900, the work reflects the period’s disciplined approach to field composition and botanical ornament.
