This MASHAD antique rug measures 97 x 393 cm and is woven in a subdued palette of neutral brown, cream, white, and soft blue-grey. The field is organised with an allover floral lattice, enclosed by a layered border of geometric vine motifs and angular framing lines. Medium distress has softened the drawing across the surface, creating gentle fading, worn contrast, and a lived-in patina. Circa 1925 - 1945, it reflects the decorative order and intricate patterning associated with Mashad weaving, while the long format and time-worn finish give the rug a calm, heritage-rich character.
