A deep navy centre is arranged with repeating boteh-like motifs, surrounded by coral stepped borders and an ivory outer border filled with floral and rosette forms. The palette moves between blush, soft sage, taupe, brown, and weathered blue, creating a muted but distinctive contrast. Gentle fading, abrash, and visible age soften the drawing without losing its structure. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reflects the heritage character and layered ornament that define Mallayer weaving. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
