This Mallayer antique rug measures 74 x 343 cm and presents a long, slender format with an allover floral lattice, mirrored cartouche-like forms, and a narrow geometric border. Woven in wool, it carries a softened, low-distress surface where cream, faded coral, muted teal, and blue-grey tones sit in calm balance. The repeated motifs create a steady vertical rhythm, while age has gently blurred the finer outlines and given the whole piece a mellowed, lived-in presence. Circa 1880 - 1910, it reads as an antique rug with composed patterning and an elegant, time-softened finish.
