Repeating geometric motifs form an allover composition, softened by age into a layered rhythm rather than a crisp repeat. The neutral palette of ivory, taupe, beige, and deep brown is muted by heavy distress, with visible fading and abrasion that lend the rug a time-softened character. A structured border still outlines the field, though it is gently worn at the edges. Circa 1920 - 1940, it reflects the grounded patterning and subdued colour found in a well-aged Mallayer.
