This Tabriz antique rug measures 105 x 510 cm and unfolds in a long, vertical composition of cream, ivory, beige, taupe and muted blue-green. Its surface is organised with an allover floral lattice of rosettes and palmettes, enclosed by a slender scrolling border that remains legible despite age. Medium distress has softened the contrast, while visible wear and subtle variation across the field lend warmth and texture. Circa 1910 - 1925, it reflects the composed, design-led character often associated with Tabriz weaving, balancing ornament and understatement in a quietly timeworn register.
