This Mallayer antique rug measures 160 x 335 cm and presents a pale, time-softened surface with a calm, tonal character. The design shows an allover medallion field, now gently eroded into layers of cream, taupe, ivory, and charcoal, while the border remains faintly legible at the edges. Its high distress gives the composition a hushed, textural quality, with worn contrast and irregular fading that speak to its age.
