The main field carries an aged floral repeat, framed by narrow bands and a more delicate border language with geometric botanical detail. Its palette remains hushed, moving through cream, ivory, beige, taupe, muted sage, and traces of faded rose and brown. Medium wear has softened the design and brightened the high points, creating an atmosphere that feels gently weathered rather than severe. Circa 1895 - 1910, it holds the quiet restraint and patina often sought in an antique rug.
