This Mallayer antique rug, measuring 318 x 587 cm, carries a softly worn field of floral geometry in cream, taupe, muted sage, and pale blue. The composition is richly layered, with a slim border enclosing the long central panel and giving structure to the faded design. Medium distress has mellowed the contrast, leaving a weathered surface with gentle abrasion and softened detail throughout.
