Its surface is organised around an all-over lattice of floral and vine motifs, enclosed by finely patterned borders that remain visible beneath the wear. The distress is pronounced, with extensive fading and abrasion that soften the contrast and give the rug a weathered, layered character. Circa 1900 - 1940, it offers the composure of Tabriz design in a delicately aged state. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
