The darker ground has softened with age, while cream and white wear marks drift through the centre, lending the surface a layered, lived-in character. The design remains clear despite the distress, with the border retaining a crisp decorative rhythm. Circa 1900 - 1920, it carries the quiet texture and tonal depth that define a well-aged Mallayer.
