This Seneh antique rug measures 371 x 726 cm and shows a dense, finely drawn allover field of floral motifs, enclosed by a cream and brown border with slender guard stripes. The composition is richly layered, with muted teal, rust, charcoal, white, and earthy neutrals softened by visible wear and faded passages across the field. Medium distress lends the surface a luminous, timeworn character, while the border remains legible and orderly against the more densely patterned centre. Circa 1900 - 1925, this is a quietly expressive Seneh with the patina and detail associated with an antique rug.
