This Shiraz antique rug measures 216 x 406 cm and has the elongated presence of a classic runner-like format. Three floral medallions unfold along the centre, surrounded by a densely patterned field of scrolling motifs and angular accents, all held within multiple decorative borders. The brown, neutral, cream, and white palette is softened by age, allowing the drawing to feel warm and subdued rather than sharp. Medium distress lends visible wear and an even, time-softened character across the surface. Circa 1900 - 1920, it balances ornament and restraint with an easy, heritage-led atmosphere.
