This Baluch antique rug measures 198 x 404 cm and has the grounded warmth of wool in a deep brown field softened by rust, cream, white, and muted blue accents. An allover diamond lattice organises the composition, while layered borders and small geometric guards bring rhythm to the perimeter. The surface shows medium wear, with visible fading and abrasion that soften the palette and blur the drawing in a compelling way. Circa 1895 - 1910, it feels quietly weathered, tactile, and settled, with the honest texture and restrained detail associated with a well-used Baluch.
