This Baluch antique rug measures 117 x 343 cm and reflects the compact, vertical rhythm associated with Baluch weaving. A near-black ground supports repeating geometric flower forms and small cross-like motifs, held within layered borders of rust, brown, ivory, and deep neutral tones. The design is crisp but not rigid, with visible age softening the contrasts and giving the surface a quieter depth. Low distress is present as worn fringe and gently abraded edges, both consistent with honest use. Circa 1920 - 1940, it offers a measured balance of pattern, restraint, and tactile heritage.
