This Tabriz antique rug measures 102 x 163 cm and reflects the poised detail of a classical workshop composition. A central medallion is framed by a stepped diamond outline, with the field worked in small floral and vine motifs across brown, neutral, gold, and muted blue notes. The border structure brings rosettes, scrolling ornament, and a darker outer frame that anchors the design. Medium distress has mellowed the contrast and introduced a gentle worn character. Circa 1900 - 1925, it feels textured, tonal, and quietly layered. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
