This Mallayer antique rug, measuring 124 x 193 cm, is woven in wool and combines deep red, brown, ivory, and muted blue tones with a compact, highly patterned composition. The field reads as a lattice of geometric medallions, small floral accents, and stepped motifs, framed by a finely worked border that keeps the design tightly resolved. With low distress and only gentle age-softening visible across the surface, it has a calm, lived-in character that remains crisp in outline. Circa 1900 - 1925.
