This Tabriz antique rug measures 251 x 338 cm and offers a gently worn field of blue, cream, and white, tempered by soft neutral brown and grey tones. Its design unfolds in layered floral medallions, rosettes, and scrolling motifs, all enclosed by multiple borders that add clarity to the composition. Medium wear has softened the outline and reduced the intensity of the colours, leaving a calm, weathered finish with visible age. Circa 1925 - 1945, it reflects the ordered elegance often found in Tabriz weaving, while the wool surface gives the rug a supple, tactile character.
