This Mallayer antique rug measures 196 x 381 cm and presents a subdued palette of faded blue, cream, white, and muted red. Its field is worked with an allover floral pattern that has softened into a calm, layered composition, framed by a narrow border that still retains traces of its original structure. Medium distress has gently blurred the ornament and given the surface an aged, tactile presence.
