This Mallayer antique rug measures 444 x 737 cm and has the restrained, time-softened character that comes from long use and natural fading. The wool surface shows an allover floral arrangement with a gently receding central medallion, framed by worn border bands in brown, cream, and muted rust. Pale ground tones and weathered teal accents create a calm, layered palette, while the high distress gives the design a blurred, painterly quality. The result is a rug with quiet depth and clear age.
