This Tabriz antique rug measures 335 x 523 cm and is defined by an allover floral field with scrolling arabesque forms and a fine border that gives the design a composed, frame-like structure. Its palette of faded sky blue, rust red, blush pink, ivory, and sage reads softly through the surface, while medium distress has mellowed the contrast and introduced a beautifully timeworn quality. The wool shows visible wear and a muted patina that temper the detail without diminishing the pattern. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reflects the layered elegance and visual depth associated with a Tabriz.
