This Dorokhsh antique rug measures 300 x 384 cm and is composed with a dense allover field of floral scrolls, tiny rosettes, and looping vine forms, enclosed by multiple narrow borders that sharpen the outline. Its wool surface holds a subdued palette of dusty rose, burgundy, plum, muted blue, and softened gold, with a gently faded finish that brings warmth to the drawing. Low distress preserves the design’s detail while adding an understated, lived-in presence. Circa 1890 - 1910, it speaks to the refined balance and layered ornament typical of the Dorokhsh name.
