This Tabriz antique rug measures 251 x 356 cm and presents a layered, timeworn softness that allows its floral structure to surface in shades of blue, cream, white, and muted rust. An ornate border encloses an allover field of scrolling palmettes and small floral motifs, now gently faded into a calm, atmospheric composition. The surface shows medium distress, with broad wear that softens the central pattern and heightens its aged character. Circa 1920 - 1940, it carries the measured elegance associated with Tabriz weaving while remaining quietly detailed and tactile.
