This Tabriz antique rug measures 325 x 488 cm and is woven in wool with a quietly weathered palette of deep navy, faded indigo, ivory, rust, and muted blue-grey. The composition pairs a densely patterned floral field with scrolling vines and palmettes, enclosed by a layered border of repeating medallions and rosettes. Medium distress gives the surface a softened, lived-in appearance, with visible wear that gently mutes the drawing and colour. Circa 1910 - 1940, it carries the balanced complexity and elegance long associated with Tabriz weaving. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
